Pillow traps or deep water traps are known for their versatility. These traps can be fished laying on bottom in shallow or deep water, or can even be stood up on their end with part of the trap out of the water when oxygen becomes a problem. They are approx. 14 inch wide and have flews in three corners, and a dump hole in the other corner. They are made with 3/4 inch PVC coated, 19 gauge hex wire. The shorter traps tend to catch better because the flews are closer together, but the longer traps are better when oxygen is a problem.

The 4842 trap is a longer cut trap that makes it approx. 17 inch wide and is very popular with commercial fishermen. It comes with only two flews on the bottom of the trap.

These traps ship flat. To open up, simply unfold and pull out to form a pillow shape.

Pyramid traps come with an easy grip molded top in either standard 4 inch height or an 8 inch height for fishing deeper water. 24 inch traps have an approx. height of 17 inch to the bottom of the top and the 22 inch traps have a height of approx. 15 inch to the bottom of the top. The 8 inch top of course can add four inches to the depth of water and you can fish with either trap. They are made with 3/4 inch mesh, 19 gauge, PVC coated hex wire.

The 24 inch trap is the larger trap which allows the crawfish to live longer when oxygen levels drop. The 22 inch trap is a little smaller and compact, they are more rigid, don't take up as much space, and tend to catch better because the flews are closer together.

"R" in the stock number means the trap has a metal rod installed to help keep them upright.

"T" in the stock number means the trap has the 8 inch top.

"TR" in the stock number means the trap has both the rod & the 8 inch top.

Galvanized rings are the strongest, stainless steel will last the longest and aluminum rings are the cheapest.
