Lee Raiter of Anchorage AK is convienced there is a 2,000 pound sturgeon in Lake Clark Alaska. In May 2013 he bought 2 nets from FNC to catch the monster. The nets he bought were 150' long each, 20 feet deep, with 18" square mesh. The report we got was that one net was pulled two miles one night and when they found the net it had some very large holes in it. This time (January 2014) we made him two more nets, but we doubled up the mesh. These nets are 150' long each, 20 feet deep, with two layers of 18" square mesh netting.

Mitchell Sonnier

Click this link for prices of Turtle Nets. Mitchell Sonnier Mitchell Sonnier of Zwolle, LA caught these nice turtles in the Toledo Bend Lake area. We do not know how or when Mitchell caught these turtles, but he has bought a lot of hoop net supplies from Nets & More (The Fish Net Company LLC). (This photo came in after we printed our 2008 calendar and was featured in February of our 2014 calendar. We did not print a calendar for 2009 through 2013.)

Bobby Moree

Bobby Moree is shown here building a shrimp trawl. Bobby shrimps, fishes hoop nets, and is an experienced net craftsman. Like most fishermen, Bobby does what it takes to make a living commercial fishing. A life that he loves. Doing what you love, and loving what you do -- what more could life offer? Fish ladders

Fish Ladders let fish up stream, but sampling nets are needed to see how reproduction went.This sampling net was provided to Environmental Consultant Bob Beavers in Middletown, DE. Net on left was destroyed by trash and replaced with net on right.
