Fishing Fever

Jacob Dollar of Monroe LA sent in these pictures of two fine boys and some nice fish. Jacob has been fishing only a couple of years, but it looks like he has caught fishing fever. The scale fish and the turtles came out of Bayou Barthlomew near Sterlington LA. They were caught in a couple hoop nets that he bought from Nets & More (The Fish Net Company) in 2014. He had out 4 of Fish Net slat traps in Darbonne Lake near Farmerville, LA that he caught this nice mess of catfish out of.

Looks like his two boys may also have the fever. The brown headed one on the right is Blayne age 5, and the blond headed one is Cam age 3.

Long Drive

Randy Shontz (white shirt) and Richard Turner (blue shirt) drove 34 hours round trip from Maryland to pick up 65 wire trap nets. Pictured with them is our assistant manager, Michael Crawford.

Potomac River Blue Cat

Reid Franklin is shown here with a nice run of blue cat out of the Potomac River in Maryland. Reid and his father David fish 24 of these traps running 12 one day and then the other 12 the next day. One run they had 1200 pounds one day and 900 pounds the next day with 300 pounds in one trap. David says he is never going back to hoop nets. These traps are just to easy to run. Picture on bottom right is J T Darbie with a 59 pound blue he caught in one of these traps in November 2015.

Robert Beard from Canton MS. 220 lb in one trap. Chris Callen is in the pic. Robert built the trap with Fish net co. netting and used powerbait in the trap.
